Assistant Trader - Recruiting for Spring/Summer 2013
Our company is a privately owned firm specializing in the trade of Interest Rate, Energy, Agricultural, Equity and other financial derivatives. We make markets electronically and on the floors of various exchanges. Our firm is growing quickly and we depend upon the interactions between Traders, Financial Engineers, and the Software Development team for our continued success.
Nico Trading is seeking candidates for an Assistant Trader position for Spring/Summer 2013. The successful candidate will have an excellent academic background, strong communication skills, the ability to think quickly, and perform well under stress.
This position is on track to lead to a full trading role within the firm.
Training: We provide on the job training that involves option theory courses, mock trading, and hands on experience with our trading systems.
Requirements:
- No prior direct trading
- Strong academic background and high GPA
- Demonstrated quantitative and analytic skills
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist trading teams with day to day tasks
- Perform basic research as directed by senior traders
- Handle clerking duties
- Execute trades as directed
- Communicate with IT/Dev/Backoffice departments
- Participate in and complete the training program in a timely manner
